Rip off your clothes and grow some fur, it’s time to get wet and wild—otter style!

Stuck in small-town, rural New York, recent college grad Em Cross is dead sure her life is at a dead end. Enter River, a young stranger who’s always in the water, and only appears at night. It’s not because he’s shy, and can’t ever find his shorts. He’s a lonely wereotter in need of a friend, and his sunshiny charm warms Em’s grumpy heart.

Soon, River and Em dive headfirst into a whirlwind romance. But before she can get to the bottom of his mysterious ways—and nonexistent shorts—trouble starts brewing. A massive otter is attacking locals, including Em’s friends, and all signs point to the handsome shifter.

River insists it’s another wereotter in trouble, but Em’s torn. She soon realizes she’s going to have to make an impossible choice: stay adrift in her ordinary life, or choose love, fish, and wild animal passion with a man who might be a dangerous predator in disguise.

Herbalist and goat farmer Annabel is a deer shapeshifter who’s happier making tea blends and communing with goats than seeking the company of fellow humans. Fearful of predators while a deer, and of attracting attention as a human, she keeps her shifting ability hidden, and keeps to herself.

When her fellow deer shifters start to go missing, Annabel is forced to team up with the new guy in town, Shane, to investigate. Grumpy and argumentative, with a severe anger management issue, Shane is the last person she’d pick to help, even though he’s distractingly hot and an expert tracker. He's a mountain lion shapeshifter who finds deer very tasty, and Annabel’s not so sure he can control his animal urges if he catches her in deer form.

Shane has his secrets, too, and as Annabel finds herself drawn to the snarky shifter, she’s as curious about his hidden past as the mystery of her missing kind. When Shane’s anger and power start to spiral out of control, Annabel will have to overcome her fear and draw on the unique magic deer shifters possess to save both Shane and her people—even if it makes her a perfect target.

Josie Dean is a dog shifter, reviled in the shifter community for their questionable origins and attraction towards grift and petty crime. Enter rich boy Nico, a weed-smoking, ultimate frisbee player by day and secret werewolf by night. He’s the proud owner of a Rolex watch so valuable it could solve all of the Dean family problems, if Josie can shift into dog form and steal it. She almost pulls it off, until he catches her with his watch in her mouth while he’s both gloriously naked and utterly baked.

Nico makes Josie a deal: he’ll pay her to pretend to be his pet so he can charm his way into a dog-loving girl’s heart. Simone is everything Josie isn’t—bubbly, cheerful, and expressive, and even richer than Nico. Good thing the arrangement is only temporary because the humiliation might kill her.

Nico is surprisingly charming when he’s not busy staring into a mirror and obsessing over Simone. And for a guy who claims to be in love with another woman, he’s spending a lot of time on the side with Josie, asking for relationship advice, baking weed brownies for Josie’s mom, and hunting with Josie beneath a full moon. Despite her aggravation, Josie’s finding herself catching feels for the soft-hearted himbo.

Simone soon falls for Nico, Nico is still seemingly smitten with Simone, and Josie’s job is almost done. Josie would let him go, but she’s uncovered evidence that Simone might not be the sweet-natured girl Nico thinks she is. Now there’s a new ticking clock: she has until the next full moon to solve the mystery of Simone and convince Nico he’s making a big mistake. Or both she and Nico might suffer far worse than broken hearts.
