Stuck in small-town, rural New York, recent college grad Em Cross is dead sure her life is at a dead end. Enter River, a young stranger who’s always in the water, and only appears at night. Soon, River and Em dive headfirst into a whirlwind romance. But before she can get to the bottom of his mysterious ways—and nonexistent shorts—trouble starts brewing. A massive otter is attacking locals, including Em’s friends, and all signs point to the handsome shifter.

River insists it’s another wereotter in trouble, but Em’s torn. She soon realizes she’s going to have to make an impossible choice: stay adrift in her ordinary life, or choose love, fish, and wild animal passion with a man who might be a dangerous predator in disguise.

Dog shifter Josie Dean is her wild and raucous family’s last-ditch hope to become respectable. Ambitious and determined, she’s a champion distance runner and straight-A college grad bound for law school in the fall. Josie’s never gotten into real trouble—until, on a dare, she’s caught trying to steal Nico Argento’s Rolex.

Lazy rich boy Nico is a werewolf, but he would rather smoke weed and play ultimate frisbee than howl at the moon and hunt deer. He makes Josie a deal: he won’t turn her in if she agrees to shift into dog form and spy on a shy young woman who’s new in town. Nico’s got the hots for her, and he wants to learn more about her before he makes his move. Josie’s dog form is a huggable husky, but Nico’s wolf form is utterly terrifying, especially to Nico himself.

Thanks to Josie’s intel, Nico makes headway with his crush, and he tells Josie to scram. But when Josie learns of a medical treatment the woman’s boss is developing in his private lab, she’s staying put—stealing it might be the only way to cure her dog shifter mother of her mysterious wasting sickness.

Nico and Josie can only be themselves when they’re together, but Josie’s catching feels for Nico that he doesn’t seem to share. Soon, Josie will have to choose whether to play it safe, or risk her heart and her life to keep her family from falling apart.

Whitetail and Catamount (Future project)

Herbalist and farmer Annabel is a deer shapeshifter who’s happier making tea blends and communing with goats than seeking the company of fellow humans. Fearful of predators while a deer, and of attracting attention as a human, she keeps her shifting ability hidden, and keeps to herself.

When her fellow deer shifters start to go missing, Annabel is forced to team up with the new guy in town, Shane, to investigate. Grumpy and argumentative, with a severe anger management issue, Shane is the last person she’d pick to help, even though he’s distractingly hot and an expert tracker. He's a mountain lion shapeshifter who finds deer very tasty, and Annabel’s not so sure he can control his animal urges if he catches her in deer form.

Shane has his secrets, too, and as Annabel finds herself drawn to the snarky shifter, she’s as curious about his hidden past as the mystery of her missing kind. When Shane’s anger and power start to spiral out of control, Annabel will have to overcome her fear and draw on the unique magic deer shifters possess to save both Shane and her people—even if it makes her a perfect target.
