North Country Shifter Rom-Coms
Book 3: Good Girl, Josie Dean (future project)
Josie Dean is a dog shifter, reviled in the shifter community for their questionable origins and attraction towards grift and petty crime. Josie’s also a straight-A college grad bound for law school who’s never broken a rule in her life. But with her family drowning in debt, Josie’s finding herself tempted by the dark side.
Enter rich boy Nico, a weed-smoking, ultimate frisbee player by day and secret werewolf by night. He’s the proud owner of a Rolex watch so valuable it could solve all of the Dean family problems, if Josie can shift into dog form and steal it. She almost pulls it off, until he catches her with his watch in her mouth while he’s both gloriously naked and utterly baked.
Nico makes Josie a deal: he’ll pay her to pretend to be his pet so he can charm his way into a dog-loving girl’s heart. Simone is everything Josie isn’t—bubbly, cheerful, and expressive, and even richer than Nico. Good thing the arrangement is only temporary because the humiliation might kill her.
Nico is surprisingly charming when he’s not busy staring into a mirror and obsessing over Simone. And for a guy who claims to be in love with another woman, he’s spending a lot of time on the side with Josie, asking for relationship advice, baking weed brownies for Josie’s mom, and hunting with Josie beneath a full moon. Despite her aggravation, Josie’s finding herself catching feels for the soft-hearted himbo.
Simone soon falls for Nico, Nico is still seemingly smitten with Simone, and Josie’s job is almost done. Josie would let him go, but she’s uncovered evidence that Simone might not be the sweet-natured girl Nico thinks she is. Now there’s a new ticking clock: she has until the next full moon to solve the mystery of Simone and convince Nico he’s making a big mistake. Or both she and Nico might suffer far worse than broken hearts.
